Mwanawetu Mmuni, a woman who was born in 1983 in the Lindi region in Tanzania, she is among the beneficiaries of sponsorship donated by the World Bank to the government of Tanzania, she is a book and e-book author, a reader, and a helper to others.

Biography

Mwanawetu studied at the University of Dar es Salaam (MUCE) and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education in 2010.

She attended an advanced level in secondary school education from 2002 and completed in 2004 at Dakawa High School in Morogoro region.

Utete Secondary School in Rufiji District in the Pwani Region is where Mwanawetu Mmuni studied her Ordinary level of secondary school education from 1998 to 2001 and from 1990 to 1996 she attended Mingoyo School in Lindi region for her primary education.

In year 2020, Mwanawetu was a contestant for a Parliamentary Seat in the Lindi region's Mchinga Constituency (CCM)

Working Background

Since 2011, Mwanawetu Mmuni has been employed by the government of the United Republic of Tanzania to be a secondary school teacher, specifically in the teaching of geography and history subjects, she is the author of a number of books, for example, Mzigo wa Jirani (2020), Nadharia ya Maisha ya Mti na Mtu (2020), Falsafa Mtandaoni (2020), Mwenge wa Uhuru na Ukombozi wa Fikra (2020), and Karibu Nanenane Kitaifa Lindi (2017).

Other Information

Mwanawetu Mmuni is also a Founder and Director of a Non-Governmental Organization called The Benevolent Care for Disabilities (BCD), registered by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (NGO-Tanzania). The main objective of the organization is to fight against poverty and the spread of sexual transmitted diseases, including the HIV/AIDS pandemic, among people living with disabilities.
